Release

Release is the blessing of the day.

What thought, pattern, person, situation, illness, habit, etc. do you need to release today to be healthier and lighter?

Today, I am going to release my need to find the answers to everything. Sometimes there are no answers.

I willingly release into the flow of life.

Grateful

I had this idea that I should make a virtual blessing garden where everyone can respond to the blessing of the day.

So here it goes....

The blessing word of the day is Grateful:

Today, I am grateful for friends that pick me up when I am down and set me back on my path, my healthy boys and the pictures they drew on my sidewalk, family who love to spend time with my boys, and my husband who always wakes up happy.

Let me know what you are grateful for today!

Just Be

Sometimes it is hard to just be. As life moves me forward, I find that I sometimes want to cling to the past and my old comfortable ways. Currently, I am getting close to finalizing the sale of my home, and this process is bringing up a lot of insecurities. Am I making the right decision? Where am I supposed to be? Should we build or buy? These are only a few of the questions that have been running through my mind for the past few weeks. Yesterday, I even found myself talking my friend into making an "energetic drive-by" to help me decide where I should live! What is happening to me?

I believe that I have forgotten to be...to be silent and turn inward and connect to God and the answers that are already inside of me. At times like this, I am reminded of the book, The Shack, and my favorite excerpt from the book follows where Sarayu, the Holy Spirit, is speaking to Mack:

"When I dwell with you, I do so in the present~I live in the present. Not the past, although much can be remembered and learned by looking back, but only for a visit, not an extended stay. And for sure, I do not dwell in the future you visualize or imagine. Mack, do you realize that your imagination of the future, which is almost always dictated by fear of some kind, rarely, if ever, pictures me there with you" (p. 143-144).

May we all visualize the Holy Spirit in our future and release all fears that block our good from unfolding. Namaste.

I'm Trying to See the Blessing

Hello again! I had just finished writing this great post about how fatigue is a blessing for me today when my son yelled from the potty, "Jay just knocked my tooth out!" I was appalled and went running to the bathroom. There, I found my son sitting on the potty with blood running out of his mouth! My 3.5 year-old was standing on the stool beside him in horror.

I quickly got the low down. Apparently, my 5 year-old threatened to push Jay out the window, (which thankfully isn't possible in my bathroom) and Jay just slapped him on the face and out fell his tooth!

So, what is the blessing here? My son has been annoyed by this semi-loose tooth for weeks, and now he doesn't have to pull it out. It's a blessing! Hooray! The tooth fairy is on the way!

Now we are back to reading Hands Are Not for Hitting, which I highly recommend.

Angel Message of the Day: See the Blessings

Do you have a problem or concern in your life that you can view with different eyes? Well, today is the day! Transform this problem in your mind's eye and see it as a blessing. What are you learning from this experience? How has this "problem" enriched your life, if even in the smallest way? Give yourself permission to only see the blessings today. See yourself with eyes of love.

Heart Steps

I love this book! My friend Helen gave me this book as a gift, and it has been a steady companion ever since. I read one message daily, and I am always amazed how accurate this book can be.

Today, I found myself at the hospital getting an unexpected echo cardiogram of my heart. When I went to the doctor today, I did not expect to end up at the hospital. In the waiting room, I picked up Heart Steps and read the passage titled, "My Heart is a Throne for Courage" (p. 81). I immediately felt at ease and remembered that I already have all of the strength and courage I need to handle this situation.

In this passage, Julia reminds us that we are supplied all of the support and strength we need to face any challenge in life. Sometimes this support comes from unexpected sources, like a stranger kind enough to give you directions when you are lost (thank you to the hospital employee kind enough to direct me as she was leaving work). The universe does support us in all that we need to do, if we are open and humble enough to accept.

"Be present, the restless mind leads you away from me."

Today, I opened my Answered Prayers book and read,

"You have a restless heart"(Cameron, p. 41).

Perhaps I do, and the troubles I find there are of my own doing. When I sink into the past, I often find nothing but doubt. When I am present, I see the blessings. I see the cardinal singing on the branch in all its vibrancy, and I know that life is unfolding at its own pace and time. All is perfect now. There is peace in the present, if I am only aware.

Angel Garden Guidance

In this blog, I will share with you daily guidance from the angels. Some of these words come from my own intuitive understanding. Other words come from inspirational books or cards. Daily, I consult books from Doreen Virtue and Julia Cameron. These books nurture my heart and soul and remind me that no matter what life brings my way, I am always protected and guided.
